Queenstown is renowned for being the adrenaline capital of the world and no visit is complete without experiencing one or all of these three iconic adventure activities:

The world’s first commercial Jet boat operator – KJet Queenstown

Did you know that KJet was the first ever adventure activity to start in Queenstown? KJet started on the Kawarau and Shotover rivers in 1958 and originally operated from Frankton beach. In 1960, KJet were encouraged by the then Borough Council to relocate to the Main Town Pier in Queenstown Bay, as the council could see that KJet was an exciting tourist attraction.

With 60 years of operation KJet has become known for innovation and the introduction of many safety features, some of which have become industry benchmarks.

Today, KJet is one of Queenstown’s most successful tourism operations, providing visitors from all over the world with an hour of exhilaration and a lifetime of thrilling memories.

The world’s first commercial Bungy operation – AJ Hackett Bungy

Ledge Bungy – run, flip, spin or dive off the Ledge Bungy, situated 400m above Queenstown.

After all, Queenstown offers some of the world’s most spectacular scenery; snow-capped mountains, deep blue lakes and turquoise rivers. Just remember, the higher you jump, the longer you have to take in the scenery during the freefall.
